I get the CAFE compliance, but that is just for vehicles built after 2012. Just imagine if all the people who got older cars were to be fined by the “gas gluzzer” surcharge, people would be pissed. Remember that not anyone can afford a new car this days and so everyone is sticking to our old rusty car.
