Yes for $43,900 you could buy two of my cars new and have enough money left over to put gas in each of them for 100,000 miles each.

Indeed shame on BMW. They're totally incompetent at the US HQ for introing that car at a time when diesel was quite a bit higher than even premium. Why the hell they couldn't give us their truely fuel efficient models which get 50mpg is just asinine.

MB had/has diesel versions too & wagons, but at around the same price, and not much better at 35mpg, which is ridiculous considering Audi has a 4.0 TWIN TURBO TDi v8 which gets 40. And now a TT V12 tdi for the Q series. But the real stupidity lay with Audi for making false promises of bringing the diesel A4 here this year.

Another thing, you can run these engines better on alcohol(white lightning), which you can brew yourself.

As for GPS, I'll still say this. The VW is garbage. Audi 3G MMI : FTW!

Let's see you put 3 kids, all their belongings, and tow a 20-foot camper with any of these vehicles.

I don't see how spending $43,900 for a new BMW is being efficient.
