So I would encourage anyone who lives near Seattle to write a reasoned letter to the editor opposing this nonsense. I first got my driver's license in 1965, so I've been through this absurdity once and do not wish to do so again. Avoid riding automobiles because they are responsible for 20% of all fatal accidents. 2. Do not stay at home because 17% of all accidents occur in the home. 3. Avoid walking on streets or sidewalks because 14% of all accidents occur to pedestrians. 4. Avoid travelling by air, rail, or water because 16% of all accidents involve these forms of transportation. 5. Of the remaining 33%, 32% of all deaths occur in hospitals. Above all else, avoid hospitals. 6. .001% of all deaths occur in worship services in church. Therefore, logic tells us that the safest place for you to be at any given point in time is church. That is also questionable, today's state of the art highly efficient cars cannot compare with the 4 barrel wobbling square barges from the 70's. It certainly seems that there's two Americas, one for politicians, police and their families that don't get tickets for speeding and one America that police love terrorizing citizens with unrealistic 55 mph posted highways.
