This reminds me how our local governments and citizens are being whored out for pennies on the dollar to external governments(have the tables turned or what?!), And the most we can get from their employees is, This is a step in the right direction.

Here in Arizona, Republican state legislators are introducing legislation to ban the ever expanding use of this equipment on our highways. Insofar as they were the pet project of our soon-to-be-ex govenor, the bill is being times to land on her desk for signature right after her Republican replacemnet takes over. Citizens here are outraged at the way the government has been using these things as nothing more than a revenue center. Unfortunatley, the law will not prevent the cites from using them on their surface streets. Nevertheless, it is a step in the right direction.

I sent FCC Chairman Martin a polite E-Mail concerning this(For what ever good it will do)
Just go to FCC website and let them know what you think.
Also I renewed my NMA dues and included a donation

The FCC is scared to do it's job when it comes to Radar. If they would do what is right they would have overturned Virginia's ban on radar detectors a long time ago.

the FCC pisses me off, I think your even suppose to have a license to operate a walky talky too. I remember buying a walkie talkie (spelling?) and in the booklet it said something that it was illegal to operate them with out a license, so unnecessary.

"The Federal Communications Commission, in the dying days of the Republican administration, has added yet another reason to clear the decks in Washington, D.C. and start all over with a new cast of characters."

Wait until Barrack HUSSEIN Obama gets in. You'll be wishing for the "dying days of the Republican administration" to return.

This reminds me of the 1970s when you were supposed to buy a license from the FCC to operate a CB radio. I don't know anyone ever prosecuted for not having the license.
